Growing up in a small and very religious town, it takes time for Queer people to come to terms with their queerness. I have known Bianca since high school and it has been a pleasure and honor seeing them grow as a person and artist.
Bianca and I worked on my project "Humanizing the Dehumanized" and while working, I got to know them on an even deeper level and I realized there is so much to them that I have yet to learn. We talked a lot about their Queer identity and growing up in a small and very religious town and the effect it had on them. This short photo series came from it. Shot on Fuji 6x9 on Illford FP4
